Since joining Cherryvale Elementary in 2016, Mrs. Davenport has made a significant impact on the lives of countless students. Her commitment to their growth and development is evident as she transitions into her 10th year as an educator. Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Davenport has taught 2nd to 4th-grade students, leaving a lasting impression on each class she has taught.
For the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year, Mrs. Davenport will embark on an exciting new role as a math interventionist. Her expertise in the field, combined with her profound understanding of curriculum design and content, make her the ideal candidate for this pivotal position. We have no doubt that she will bring innovation and inspiration to the role, nurturing the mathematical abilities of our students and helping them reach their full potential.
Mrs. Davenport’s educational journey began at the prestigious University of South Carolina (USC), where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in December of 2013. Seeking to deepen her knowledge and refine her teaching skills, she pursued a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on content and curriculum at Concordia University, which she successfully obtained in June of 2016. Mrs. Davenport’s relentless pursuit of knowledge exemplifies her commitment to continuous improvement and dedication to her profession.
Education runs deep in Mrs. Davenport’s family, and her childhood dream of becoming a teacher has become a reality. Her innate ability to be a positive role model and an unwavering advocate for children sets her apart as an exceptional educator. Mrs. Davenport’s genuine care for her students’ well-being, coupled with her ability to foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, ensures that each child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
