Cherryvale is an Arts in Basic Curriculum Site funded by an ABC grant from the SC Arts Commission.
Erected in 1967 and nestled in the western section of Sumter County which has a total population of 108,123 citizens, Cherryvale Elementary School is a community school located directly across from Shaw Air Force Base and U.S. Army Central. Previously one of 15 schools in the former Sumter County School District Two, Cherryvale is now one of 26 schools in Sumter School District.
